The Weird Things have finalised their second album, Code: 533, 14 tracks of guitar-loaded garage rock and wiry punk. The tracks were produced by Dick Crippen who has recently crafted albums that have refreshed the careers of punk mainstays Chelsea and Johnny Moped. He's also overseen recordings featuring Adam Ant, TV Smith and Angie Bowie amongst many others.
“It’s not a concept album,” says Crippen, “but the songs come together to tell of a young girl’s experience of leaving home and living on the streets. The album title comes from the station code of the infamous zoological garden station (Bahnhof Zoo) in Berlin.”
Pre-Order CODE:533 direct from the Plastic Head Mega Store.
Friday 29th November The Weird Things will be making a guest appearance at the Concorde II in Brighton with Electric Six.
